Went to law school. Was a public defender in Newark, NJ. Then switched to journalism, as correspondent and columnist for my hometown daily. My hometown happens to be Panama City, Panama and the newspaper is La Prensa of Panama.
Now, I'm very involved in building a human rights museum in Panama, where I spend most of my time.
It happens that my father (Francis Timothy Brannan) graduated from Tufts Engineering in the late 1930's. Louis Berger (my husband's father) was Tufts Engineering at about the same time and later said that he remembered my father there.
Anyway, I ended up at Tufts and met my husband Fred Berger there. We were together for 41 years before he passed away on 23 April 2015. This website has quite a full obituary of Fred. He and his father were great supporters of Tufts.
