In Memory

Catherine Gody (Wolf)

Catherine Gody (Wolf)

Cathy Gody Wolf died February 7, 2018, from complications of the ALS, against which she had fought courageously for over 22 years. She died peacefully at home surrounded by her husband, family and caregivers who loved her -- as well as her beloved cats that gave rise to the special name that her grandkids called her: : "Grandcat." Cathy was funny, fierce, loving, brilliant, creative. During her time with ALS, she wrote poetry, scientific articles, op-eds and letters to express her strong progressive views, and kept up 2 facebook pages.

Cathy's work in human-machine interface technology impacted the lives of everyone on this planet and eventually provided her with the means to communicate with the outside world from inside her ALS world.

This documentary short tells her story.

May Cathy's memory and legacy be for a blessing.

Cathy was a good friend at Tufts and Brown. She and I enjoyed burritos together after psycholinguistic conferences we  attended! She brought her first baby daughter to my house along with a purple print pillow as a wedding present. She and I communicated by email in later years. Diane Juster.... what was the name of the song you and Cathy sang in MacPhee dining hall???
