Kittridge Opal

From Frank Siteman:

Kittridge Opal, A69 on August 3, 2013, in Palm Springs, CA. Kit was a rare blend of creativity, humor, and intelligence. As editor of the Tufts Weekly at the end of the turbulent 1960s, he would fill a front page with an iconic drawing of Black Panther Stokely Carmichael. As a photographer, he would push darkroom boundaries to produce dye transfer masterpieces. As an architectural color consultant in California, he helped confused clients select just the right colors for their live/work spaces. Always wary of surrendering his independence, whether to a traditional workplace or to a mortgage, Kit happily marched to his own drummer throughout his life. He loved California, tennis, Spain, friends, and family, in no particular order. His survivors include a sister, Christine Lazootin of Mission Viejo, CA, and a legion of former Tufts Weekly editors, colleagues, and friends who will miss his pithy emails and brilliance that never took itself too seriously.
