MONTLE, Paul Joseph On December 17, 2008, Paul passed away peacefully in Panama City, Republic of Panama after a brief illness. Paul was born on August 28, 1947 in Medford, MA and grew up in Arlington, graduating from Arlington Catholic High School in 1965. He received his BA from Tufts University in 1969 and had recently completed the Global Master of Arts Program at The Fletcher School at Tufts University. He also served his alma mater as a member of the Tufts International Board of Overseers. Paul had a forty-year career as a successful entrepreneur and investor, primarily in the oil and gas industry. He created The Paul Montle Prize at Tufts University, which has awarded a tuition stipend for the past twenty-five years to outstanding Tufts students who demonstrate entrepreneurial skills. Paul also enjoyed travelling and took great pride in stepping foot on all seven continents with his beloved family. He was an active member of YPO (Young Presidents' Organization) and WPO/49ers for many years in New England and Texas. Paul is survived by his loving daughters, Alexis Eaton of Houston, Texas and Daphne Montle of Brookline, MA and his sisters, Janice Montle of Del Mar, CA and Karen Hirschmann of Pasadena, CA. He was the beloved son of Joseph and Frances Montle of Falmouth, MA who predeceased him. Paul is also survived by his son-in-law, Daniel Eaton, his sister-in-law, Kay Coleman, his brother-in-law, Ralph Hirschmann, his nephews and nieces, Brian, Lisa, Brendan and Lauren Hirschmann, his aunt, Jeanette Fogarty of Billerica, MA and many cousins.
